Figure Sculpture

My approach to working with the human form is the same as I use with other symbolic elements in my work. Hair, clothing and gesture become important elements in communicating an idea. Usually the figure is interacting with a symbolic object. While the gestures of my figurative sculptures reference a classical sensibility, the content of the work addresses issues current to our time.
